August 2018 Visa Bulletin Released: EB-3 India Now Only 2 Months Behind EB-2
The August 2018 Visa Bulletin has been released by the U.S. Department of State (DOS) with a few notable changes to cutoff dates:
EB-1 Preference Category: There will be no movement for EB-1 India and China as the cutoff date remains at January 01, 2012. All other countries of chargeability, excluding India and China, have retrogressed from current to May 01, 2016.
EB-2 Preference Category: We see no movement for EB-2 India, as the cutoff date remains at March 15, 2009. There is a slight advancement of 2 months for EB-2 China, with the cutoff date now at March 01, 2015. All other countries of chargeability remain current.
EB-3 Preference Category: EB-3 China has the most notable advancement of 18 months, moving the cutoff date to July 01, 2014. Additionally, EB-3 India has advanced by 2 months, with the cutoff date now at January 1, 2009, putting it only 2 months behind EB-2 India. All other countries of chargeability, except for the Philippines, remain current in this category.
